Spacecraft development and semiconductor manufacturing are considered among the most challenging fields in modern manufacturing. To prepare engineers for careers in these advanced fields, the Department of Space and Semiconductor Engineering provides an interdisciplinary learning environment that spans mechanical engineering—the foundation of hardware design—electronic engineering for control systems, and materials engineering for materials development.

The department offers two courses: the Mechatronics (Mechanical and Electronic Engineering) Course, where students develop the skills to integrate mechanical and electronic technologies and precisely control entire systems; and the Materials Science Course, where students explore new materials capable of withstanding extreme environments and innovative manufacturing processes.
